A new restaurant on the Cape scene is almost open, with Bruce Robertson at the pots. The name is now out in the open – it’s called “The Showroom” for a couple of reasons. First, it’s a very visual affair, with food on translucent plates and glass between triple volume spaces. Also, one of the walls of the restaurant shows the neighbouring luxury car showroom. But mainly because Bruce will be on show, cooking in front of people. There is also an interesting twist to the menu (it’s a concept menu, yes) – more on this later. The header is a clue…

My guess is that “the sauce” is the primary ingredient of many dishes, with said sauce accompanied by beef/pork/tuna of the plains, etc. Any prizes for correct guesses, like maybe some sauce?
Your guess would be incorrect, so no sauce for you!
Okay, sauce, as in wine and other alcoholic beverages either in food, on food or with food. Am I on a hothothot, mild or cold track? Don’t yet know what the concept is though. Me and a couple of friends will get sauced tonight – see if we can crack it.
Another incorrect guess, so no sauce for you either! (Bruce is saving).
